December postcards

Here's the placeholder if anyone needs to commune about December cards. I'm going to work on mine this weekend. I have a plan but it may turn out to be overly ambitious, I'll know after I try a prototype card...I thought I would do more cards this month for other people not in our art card circle, since Krissy and I aren't doing gift-giving this season. Usually I don't send cards but now I think maybe that's the most fun thing to do - I need to get on it though, because I'd like them to be done for the solstice!

Help

It’s so fun to make homemade cards. I’ve been doing this off & on now for maybe five years. This year it’s the re-cycled Christmas card theme. Have saved loved holiday cards for years & am not cutting them up & sending out to others. Have to be very careful not to send card to original giver, though. They might not understand.
I did a test run yesterday. Like the way things came out though I’ve got a tweak or two to implement. I might have to take a month off. I’ve gotten so into making postcards that other things are beginning to lag … . : ) Making postcards is an outstanding way to ignore writing … .
Finished last night and mailing out today. In case they don’t get there by the weekend, have a lovely solstice everyone!
HI!!!! I completely missed posting on your blog for November! (I just found it!)
This month, I am sending a few holiday cards … and might incorporate my artcard with “it”. Might not … still playing around with ideas.
They will not be sent before this weekend … so I too am wishing you all a beautiful solstice!
ps: I have enjoyed this soooo much. Making the cards and thinking about each of you while in the ‘process’ is a gift in itself. Then receiving your cards has been very exciting and my world is a brighter place! I’m figuring out ways to display! So far, my refrigerator door is my gallery. What about you guys?
These ARE my holiday cards…and mine right now are propped up all over my desk but I’m thinking I might stick some little picture rails up on the wall and line the wall next to me with them. I’m enjoying this too. In fact, it’s gotten me back into doing other projects, which I had told myself I didn’t have enough time for. I’ll post another spot next month. And Lil, if you take a month off, I’m still sending you cards.
I’m not gonna make it this month. will do 2x next.
got yours Jeannie … quite wonderful. I also got the delayed November from Emma … who has shared w/ me that she’s dropping out … but too bad cuz I’ve told her that I’ll continue to include her.
I’m continuing to include emma too. And tara. Hah!
Lil, I love your card this month. The stitching was very clever of you! I may borrow a little of that idea sometime.
I’m out of paper so today I’ll have to go to the art supply store downtown. Gosh darn it. You all can just imagine how much I hate having to go to the art supply store…is my nose growing?
Oh bummer Jeannie. What a rotten day it is when one has to hike down to the art store. Rats! I’m so sorry for you … ; P
And thanks for the beautious golden snowflake card!
Emma, I love the bluebird card with the exhortation to “fly!”. I did promptly get on a plane and fly west to see my family for the holidays.
Hey all, I need to get some other projects done so I’m going to sit out January on the postcard round robin. I’ll catch up with you again in February!
Neener neener, I’m sending you a postcard anyway! :P
